A 4-Minute Guided Brushing Meditation

Minute 1 – Floss with Intention

  1. Start in a quiet space like your bathroom. Close the door to minimize distractions.

  2. Cut about 1.5 feet (45 cm) of floss.

  3. Gently guide the floss between your teeth in a C-shape motion, sliding it up and down to the gumline.

  4. Imagine the floss massaging your gums, clearing away bacteria and stress alike.

  5. Focus on each tooth. Let your breath slow down.

Minutes 2 & 3 – Brush with Awareness

  1. Apply a small amount of toothpaste to your brush.

  2. Angle the bristles at 45 degrees toward the gumline.

  3. Spend 30 seconds brushing the front and biting surfaces of your top teeth, then 30 seconds on the inner sides.

  4. Repeat the same steps for your bottom teeth.

  5. Brush your tongue or use a tongue scraper to remove bacteria and improve freshness.

As you brush, visualize the plaque lifting away, leaving your teeth smooth and radiant.

Minute 4 – Rinse and Reflect
